Business Health has worked with fund managers, insurance companies, broker / dealer groups and advisors in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong, UK and the US in helping them refine their strategy with the aim of making them more efficient, more effective and "getting more than their fair share" in a dynamic and changing industry.

Terry Bell

Terry has spent over 30 years in the financial services industry, specializing in advising leading companies and broker/dealer groups in the distribution of their products and services. His particular expertise is in the independent intermediary distribution channel, chiefly in funds management and life insurance.


Terry has presented at many industry forums and is a regularly quoted in key industry publications.


Rod Bertino

Rod has over 15 years' experience in the financial services industry in a variety of senior management, business development and operational roles. In his last corporate role, Rod was responsible for the supporting and growing of a broker/ dealer group by helping advisors achieve their business and personal goals. This included the development and implementation of tailored practice management principles.


Rod also worked with large financial services organizations, advising on key distribution issues such as sales support facilities aimed at profitably increasing the volume of business from targeted independent professional financial advisors. Additionally, he has experience in the development and implementation of effective business support systems and services for a national retail distribution network.


Ray Henderson

Ray has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry. He has held numerous senior positions in the corporate world focusing on the distribution of investment and life insurance products to independent advisors and brokers. As well as this, he has worked closely with leading advisors for over 20 years helping to improve and grow their practices.


Ray is actively involved with a number of Australia's leading broker / dealer groups providing advice on growing and managing their advisor networks, and in particular, how to move advisors from "sales" people to "business" people. He is also a member of several high profile financial planning firms' advisory boards.


Tony Stephens

Tony's career in the financial services industry includes roles in marketing, business development and strategic and operational planning. He has worked in Australia and overseas for companies including Westpac, Reuters and Zurich


Tony has spoken and consulted extensively in both Australia and the United States on many issues ranging from broad industry trends to how individual advisors can implement key ideas and strategies into their business for maximum effect.


Bob Ossey

Bob's career has included key management roles in the distribution of investment and life insurance products to independent advisors. He has also been actively involved in working with professional financial advisors, brokers, accountants and investment advisors in helping them to develop and maintain increasingly profitable businesses.


Bob has consulted and spoken extensively in Australia, the United States, South Africa and the UK. At the beginning of 2007, Bob made the decision to begin winding back his professional activities – while no longer a principal of Business Health, he remains closely associated with the group and for the work he chooses to undertake he works on an exclusive basis with Business Health.

We offer consulting services tailored to the needs of our clients. This, together with the information we are regularly receiving from advisors and their clients in Australia, the United States, South Africa, United Kingdom and New Zealand, ensures we are uniquely placed to provide informed and insightful management consulting services. As part of our consulting offer we are able to undertake specific research as well as provide 'one on one' or group coaching support.


Advisor Forums

We frequently present to large or small groups of advisers - either as a one off presentation (conference or PD day for example) or workshops. We are able to further build on our workshop work and develop customized development programs for principals - these can be structured to run over a specific period (usually one - two years).


PDScan

The PD CATScan is a unique tool that allows companies and dealers to measure PDM/BDM performance in an objective and independent way. We survey each managers' adviser panel in a confidential manner, with all feedback being consolidated into a series of KPI ratings. The manager's overall results are then compared to our consolidated industry data base.


Hidden Profits

Through this service you will receive a monthly email, which will focus on ten key profit drivers - one per month for the next ten months. Apart from allowing the practice to compare its own performance to 'best practice', the principal will receive tips and ideas as to how they could possibly be incorporated into his/her own practice. Supportive templates and guides will be made available as required.
